Sarah Avolio (b.2003) is a representational painter living and working in Toronto. Her practice revolves around depicting a familiar yet curated view on reality. She presents an enhanced examination of natural beauty and replicates forced ideals of purity and femineity. Her use of pattern and repetition alongside fluid brushwork communicates an immediate sense of comfort, understanding, and intimacy throughout her work.
She has recently shown work at Art Toronto with Towards Gallery, Latitude Gallery New York, and was a 2026 recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. She is currently working to complete her BFA at OCAD U in the drawing and painting program.
